Groundwater
studies can determine if contamination has reached a water bearing
geological formation and determine the natural raw water quality
of an aquifer system. Management and preservation of groundwater
supplies are essential to all citizens and political leaders of
our country. Potable water supplies must be monitored and sampled
to ensure that the water quality meets or exceeds USEPA primary
drinking water standards. In the state of Louisiana, consumptive
use permits and water quality permits are issued to all local city
and town agencies to ensure preservation of water quality.
Professional Hydrogeologists within Hydro-Environmental Technology,
Inc. (HET) have conducted numerous Hydrogeologic Investigations
involving the identification of municipal water well locations,
the study of aquifers beneath a commercial salt water disposal
facility, and regional assessments of ground and surface water
supplies.
